Who We Are

Imara Community Growth Network is a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) based in Homabay, Kenya. Our goal is to empower communities through education, social initiatives, and sustainable development to participate in creating a prosperous, healthy, educated and sustainable society. The success of our tailoring project, which provides skillset development and financial opportunities to vulnerable and disenfranchised women, allowed us to expand into other community initiatives. But when a building fire destroyed our facility in 2019, we were left with nearly nothing. Now, after a major rebrand, we are striving to reinstate our community projects which will support education and sustainable development within the local community of Homabay.

Our Mission: To empower communities through education, social initiatives, and sustainable development to participate in creating a prosperous, healthy, educated and sustainable society.
